Raglan Shire’s community of vigorous and creative Tinies is raising money this weekend for ONE – an American charitable movement bent on improving the lives of human beings on a global scale.“ONE is Americans of all beliefs and every walk of life – united as ONE – to help make poverty history. We are a campaign of over 2.4 million people and growing from all 50 states and over 100 of America’s most well-known and respected non-profit, advocacy and humanitarian organizations. As ONE, we are asking our leaders to do more to fight the emergency of global AIDS and extreme poverty. ONE believes that allocating more of the U.S. budget toward providing basic needs like health, education, clean water and food would transform the futures and hopes of an entire generation in the world’s poorest countries.” To that end the community is jousting, telling fortunes, holding an archery competition, selling delicacies (including ratpops – yum!) and Tiny accoutrements. The events take place 12-14 October in two locations: Raglan Shire and Hopes Point.

This ratpop is delicious! Enjah Mysterio is a fair maiden in her lovely gown and flower circlet. Alas, I am not quite in the medieval mode – although nudity is timeless, Ibelieve.

  1. Timeless indeed Osprey! Its funny, ONE.ORG might be American based, but many of its biggest supporters and organizers are of all nationalities including its biggest Supporter, BONO of U2 fame. Everyone is highly encouraged to go to the One.org site and read more on what they’re attempting to do. I’m not really into touting charities as there are so many excellent organizations out there but ONE is a group that We all feel is special and deserving of support and participation. Thanks for the write up Osprey!
